A portal leads you to a darker earth
You are accountable for where you take your body
Your tongue is your last weapon
A wolf in your chest tries to leap out of
The forest of your body
Teeth vile transcendent primal
As if eternity is one big war of attrition
You walk with demons until
You can learn to walk without them
Your mouth is so full of curses
But your tongue is tender in the middle of the night
It knows no violence   seeks no violence
It simply says I’m trying to survive
Gives light rather than burns
